WITHOUT HOLINESS, NO ONE WILL SEE THE LORD! Hebrews 12:14b

1 Peter 1:15-19 NKJV As He who called you is Holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, "Be holy, for I AM Holy. And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in fear; knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as a lamb without blemish and without spot.

To be holy is to live a life pleasing to God, through obedience to His word,

 in speech and behavior. Holiness is a calling and a lifestyle, commanded by God.

The scripture states: "Conduct yourselves, throughout your stay here, on earth, with fear."

Why?

Like any Father who loves His child and has sacrificed His Son for the lives of many, and those whom His Son has died for, treats His death, as if it was unimportant, would be angry, so our God also says:

John 3:16-20 NIV For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already, because they have not believed in the Name of God’s one and only Son. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light and will not come into the light, for fear that their deeds will be exposed.

Scripture states: 2 Corinthians 4:4 But the price paid, for your salvation, was the precious blood of Jesus Christ.

"You were not brought back to God, with silver or gold, from your lifestyle of sin, under the authority of Satan, the god of this world.

BE GRATEFUL FOR WHAT GOD HAS DONE FOR YOU, AND SHOW YOU ARE GRATEFUL THROUGH YOUR ACTIONS, NOT JUST YOUR WORDS.

Hebrews 12:14-17 NIV Make every effort; to live in peace, with everyone, and to be holy; WITHOUT HOLINESS; NO ONE WILL SEE THE LORD. See to it, that no one falls short of the grace of God; and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble; and defile many. See that no one is sexually immoral or godless, like Esau, who, for a single meal, sold his inheritance rights as the oldest son. Afterward, as you know, when he wanted to inherit this blessing, he was rejected. Even though he sought the blessing, with tears, he could not change what he had done.

Repentance is only available to the living, so repent today!

Hebrews 9:27 NKJV And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this, the judgment.

LIVING SACRIFICES TO GOD

Romans 12:1-2 NIV Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God, this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is, His good, pleasing, and perfect will.

God said: “Offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God." To offer one’s body as a living sacrifice, you must be willing to die to your desires. You must be willing to release everything you are and everything you have into the trust of the Lord Jesus, to do as He pleases with it. No more will you see your body as a tool to fulfill your lust but as a vessel for God’s service.

Worship is also more than singing a praise and worship song, it is a lifestyle. It is a way of life that is pleasing to God but is not always pleasing to the world.

John 15:18-19 NIV Jesus states: “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.

STOP SEEKING APPROVAL FROM MEN, AND SEEK IT FROM

CHRIST…

2 Timothy 3:1-5 NIV But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure; rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness; but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.

2 Corinthians 6:14-18 NIV Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God.

WITHOUT HOLINESS, NO ONE

WILL SEE THE LORD!

1 Thessalonians 4:7 NIV For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life.

Ephesians 5:3 NIV But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or any kind of impurity, or greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people.

Leviticus 20:26 NIV You are to be holy to Me, because I, the LORD, am Holy, and I have set you apart, from the nations to be My own.

1 Peter 3:11 NIV They must turn from evil and do good; they must seek peace and pursue it.

Tomorrow is not a promise to you; take action today!!!

Say this prayer with me:

I offer up my heart, my life, my mind, my spirit, my soul, my money, my material things, my family, everything I have now and in the future, as a sacrifice to You. This is my act of giving up something valued for the sake of something else regarded to me as more important or more worthy. I want a greater relationship and knowledge of You and Your Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. I want You to kill me, kill all my desires, all my selfish needs, all my wants, all my dreams, all my relationships that don't bring me closer to You but draw me away from your living presence. I give it away with no restraints. I put no limits on You or keep You under control, to no desires of my own. I deprive you of no freedom of movement or action in my life. I put no limit, especially on activities, to no particular place, time, or category of people. I put no measure or conditions that keep You without control or within any limits. I set you free to do whatsoever you want with this life. I accept the sacrifice of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and I say yes to His ways, yes to His thoughts, yes to His lifestyle, yes, Lord Jesus, yes, In Jesus Christ the Nazareth Name, I pray. Amen.
